Cee is back and I'm Sleeping Good At Night

Queen Bey has come through with a new jam to break us into the summer. Uh oh, I know you're wheels are spinning like here we go, another Beyhive Stan. Well, yes. However, I come adding perspective. Have you checked the message in this anthem that she's whispering? It's her method, and the wording of the song for me. Now on the contrary, I know we have some who didn't dig the song. Who said WTF is this and it was a hard no. But I dare you to listen to the lyrics.

Ok, so let's get into it.

On Monday June 20th, Bey, hit us with her latest single "Break My Soul" and it did turn heads, cause us to shake a little sum'n and nonetheless break the internet, this is Beyonce's world wide net, after all right. LOL. Ok, spoken like a true fan, but weren't we all talking about it and as you can see a week later, I am.

Upon first listen, my eardrum wasn't open to the lyrics. I'm listening, I hear this dance hall, techno, nineties-esque beat. I'm trying to place the familiarity because it was definitely giving me CeCe Peniston vibes. LOL. So I'm easing into the song through the beat and I go, I like it. Yesss, Bey. This is what we grew up on, come on girl.

And as I listen to what she's saying, I go, "OMG, Bihhhh, yes, This is a woman in transition anthem. This is grown ass grown, I am looking for something new. Every area of my life isn't giving me the vibes that I need. I need that refresh that restart. This relationship wasn't cutting it, it had to go. That job it had to go. I'm letting it all go, because I need MY OWN foundation, MOTIVATION, Im looking for NEW FOUNDATION period.

It's also giving the theme of freedom and breaking free. When you get that new foundation, you feel good, you feel alive and ultimately you feel free. Its indescribable but if you have to give it words, its something you know you deserve and you'll be damned if anyone takes it or tries to break this NEW YOU. Listen, Baby, I can preach this sermon all day. Bey is speaking from the depths of my soul.

I mean in short, aren't we all doing this? Haven't we all had that moment that you tell life, I'm not letting you break me down? I've had quite enough and this is where you get tf off and I do me here on out.

Beyonce's latest single is more than just a dance hall, tiktok, reel making phenomenon. It exudes "I'm a woman in a transitional part of my life and I'm ready for all things NEW. I was looking for something and then I found it. I didn't know what it was I was looking for but when I found it, I knew. My life wasn't fulfilling me before, but damnit, I have it now. It's given me the courage to declare all things new."

If this is just a sneak peak of what my BFF Yonce has up her sleeves Babbbbby resuscitate me because come the end of July (whenever the album drops) I won't be able to breathe hunny. LOL

Oh and lighten up, we all have our faves, Beyonce is just one of mine. I'm one of those people regardless of it being my fave, I'm a fan of motivational things and I can spot an anthem and extract inspiration from many areas in life. When you put it in perspective it makes all the sense in the world. By the age of 40, us women "have seen it all" in my young jeezy voice haven't we? We've had the job(s), the career changes, the setbacks, we've worked really heard at what we do, sometimes, we're still working to grind and get our businesses where we want to be, we are starting those families, or looking to start those families, we have loved and lost, and loved and hell rode that rollercoaster so many times it's not funny......I mean, shit, Don't be deserve to be back outtttsideeee. LOL. But she's literally calling to action the part of you that's hanging on to the dead areas of your life and letting it go. Now she didn't tell you to leave your man or quit your job arbitrarily, just cause. Don't go blaming Bey bc you went and got a pack of cigarettes and didn't call Trey back. That wasn't the message. But she was saying, "Sis, if it's stressing you, release it. let go of the anger, the hurt, the pain and give in to new found love and motivation"
